Aes-Up is a file encryption utility with some unique features that can help prevent data loss due to forgotten passwords. It can encrypt single files or combine multiple files into an encrypted archive that can be stored on your computer or made self-decrypting, so that it can be sent by email or stored on a CD. The program uses the 256-bit AES standard to secure your data, and conveniently integrates with the Explorer right-click menu to encrypt or decrypt files. In addition to the password that you specify when you encrypt a file, you can choose to activate the backup password feature, which will enables you to decrypt files with the backup password, even if you forgot the primary password. In a business environment, you can even designate data administrators that will be able to decrypt any user encrypted file. This recovery level can even be tightened by requiring that two or more data recovery officers must simultaneously authorize the decryption of the file(s).
