Auto Time Adjuster (ATA) is a audio plugin, an RTAS audio plug-in designed to ease workflow in Pro Tools LE / M-Powered when using plug-ins that generate insert latency.

ATA automates this process for you, measuring and compensating for all plugin latencies with the click of a button - including external hardware inserts. ATAs are inserted on all tracks in a session in the same manner as using standard Time Adjusters.

The "ping" button is then clicked on the MASTER ATA, instructing all ATAs to send a short burst of audio through the Pro Tools mixer. The MASTER ATA intercepts these pings at the master fader. It s then able to calculate the necessary delay offsets for each track and instructs each ATA to set its delay accordingly. When you add or remove a plugin, all you need to do is click the ping button again, to re-calculate current plugin latency.

You can also just or enter the latency figure of the track you are changing into the ATA on that one track, and all other ATAs will update automatically.
