UplandToys BallSequencer is a audio pligin, a sequencer based around the idea of midinotes generated by balls moving around inside a rectangular area. BallSequencer is a sequencer VSTi based around the idea of MIDI messages being generated by balls moving around inside a rectangular area. Notes are triggered whenever a ball collides with the boundary of the rectangle. You can set parameters that will control the movement of each ball, in addition to possible note and velocity values.

This probably sounds like a complicated way of making random-sounding bursts of sound, but in practice I have found it very useful for creating pleasing rhytmical patterns and melodies. The interface makes it very easy to drastically change the rhytmical quality of a sequence, unlike in a traditional sequencer.
Of course, its also fully capable of creating crazy and uncohesive patterns if thats your thing. You can have 1-6 balls bouncing around in the rectangle at any time, each ball has its own horizontal parameter strip, and an associated color.
