Confessor is a Windows Application that utilizes WMI and standard tools to quickly gather forensic information from any number of hosts. It gathers remote intelligence from hosts joined to a DOMAIN in a configurable way, enables an investigator to quickly gather remote intelligence from hosts joined to a DOMAIN in a configurable way. Confessor utilizes WMI to connect to the Windows hosts as such port 445 needs to be open from the server / workstation running Confessor and the target host.
Due to the execution of non native code on a remote machine, all outbound calls will be done via an anonymous user. The receiving directory for logs must allow anonymous writes. The tools directory that you create will contain all of the binaries called remotely by a host machine. This is done over TCP SMB, Port 445.
