Data Synchronisation Studio makes it possible to synchronise data between systems that may not of been designed with synchronisation in mind. This is achieved by reading data from each data source into a neutral data format then the comparison engine analyses the data looking for changes outputting the results as a change set.

Data is converted to standard .NET Data Types (string, int, datetime etc) and stored in-memory within a standard .NET DataTable object.

A Schema Map is used to manage the connection between the source and destination columns and also describes what Data Type should be applied. The schema map also serves to inform the data source what columns to return from the underlying data service this reduces the network traffic by only returning columns that are required rather than all columns.

Data Transformations are possible via Dynamic compilation of custom user code that create virtual columns against the data.
