DirectCompute Benchmark
|
This tool allows you to benchmark DirectX 11 latest general-purpose computing feature by calculating tons of FFT-like data and some memory transfers. DirectCompute is an application programming interface (API) that takes advantage of the massively parallel processing power of a modern graphics processing unit (GPU) to accelerate PC application performance.
Minimum Requirements
1. Windows Vista SP2 or Windows 7
2. DirectX 11
3. Latest DirectX End-User Runtimes
4. GPU with DirectX 10 support and above.
Recommended Drivers
1. ATI Catalyst 9.11 Beta
2. Nvidia ForceWare 195.39
The application itself relies on DirectX 11 environment - you can use either Windows Vista SP2 or Windows 7 [unlike ATI demos which require Windows 7 OS instead of DX version checkup]. Also, the developer recommends using the latest drivers for the graphics cards.
It is also worth to mention is that the benchmark is not limited for only DirectX 11-class hardware, so owners of nVidia hardware don't need to cry foul over nVidia's inability to produce hardware according to their own roadmaps and promises. The application itself relies on DirectX 11 environment - you can use either Windows Vista SP2 or Windows 7 [unlike ATI demos which require Windows 7 OS instead of DX version checkup].
