Easy tiler is designed to help you understand how different shapes can tile the plane.
Using the program is pretty self evident. Just select the shape of tile you want, eg for a Penrose Kite. (Click on the coloured arrow to the right of the icon if you want to change its colour) and click on the main window to add it to the tiles already present.

Easy Tiler will add the new tile to the nearest unit side if it can find it. If it can't find a suitable edge, it will beep at you.

To make sure that your tile goes where you want it to, click somewhere close to, but outside of, the edge where you want the new tile to go. When adding kites and darts it is best to go for one of the short edges.

Easy Tiler Identifies Penrose tiles with spots at some of the corners. In addition, curly line patterns can also be added using the icons. You can change the colours of these lines and switch them on and off.
