EvLog is analyzing one computer at a time with the following syntax:

EvLog config_file
or
EvLog config_file server_name

In the last format, server_name overwrites the computer name set in the configuration file. This is useful when there is a need to use a configuration file as a template.

A sample config file, config1.ini is included in the zip file downloaded from our site. The configuration file contains various settings that can be used to customized the analysis.

To install EvLog perform the following tasks:
1. Create a new folder (ex. C:\Tools\Evlog)
2. Unzip the evlog files
3. Modify the existing config.ini or create a new config file and adjust the parameters as needed
4. If the .NET framework is installed, the EvLogGUI utility can be used to create a configuration file (or modify an existing one)
5. Specify the location of the evlog files (the "EvLog location" parameter in the configuration file)
6. Invoke evlog from command line using the following command:

* The optional EvLogGUI (GUI interface for config files editing) requires the Microsoft .NET Framework
