Flash card printing made easy. FlashCardPrinter is a lean framework for printing flash cards. Flash cards help you learn your vocabulary or similar things that can be described in a few words. Flash cards are typically used in a flash card box according to the Leitner System. Each of the cards contains a question on the front side and the answer on the back side. You check the knowledge of each cards several times with increasing time between.

To give you a more practical idea of the whole thing here is my current box with a set of cards in each of the stages:
1. The front group contains a set of freshly printed cards.

2. Once I knew the answer I put it into the second group. This group is check every day. All cards I failed to remember go back in the first group.

3. The third group is basically checked in intervals of 2 days. But I prefer putting additional cards in it so I can check the subgroup every day.

4. The forth group follows the same principle at intervals of 4 days. Again, there are 4 subgroups. Each of the according white cards contains the week day when I have to check next.

5. Once a card reaches stage 5 I put it into a bigger box and check it a week or two later. After that it is checked 2 or more weeks later and so on.

6. Very important: You should learn your vocabulary in both directions. For that reason I have a second box for the opposite direction. For the sake of simplicity I move the cards at stage 5 from the yellow box to a second box in orange.

The amount of times to repeat the cards and the times between each stage depends fully on you. Some people might prefer longer times especially in higher stages, others may even stop at the fifth stage.

You should also use a really good card box as you will use it daily. Mine has a lid which can be pushed below the container and closes firmly when not in use. The boxes for higher stages can be simple cardboard boxes, maybe just old shoe boxes.
