FractalMuse is a small but powerful program using the Jfugue library to produce music based on L-systems. Create music with this tool. Begin by entering a string. You will see an example one entered automatically. strings can consist of "f"s, pluses minuses and spaces. All other characters will be ignored. Each f will play a note, fs in succession will compound the note length by an eight beat per f.(Ex: f+f will play 2 eight notes, ff with play a quarter note, fff a dotted quarter note etc..)

It is a cumulative 10 hours of work, and all basic functionality has been implemented. THere are still a few time when the program will suddenly refuse to play anything, but apart from that, it is remarkably stable.
