Fractalus is a freeware truecolor highresolution fractalgenerator for 32-bit and 64-bit Windows. Freeware fractal generator with movie, deep zoom and multiprocessor capability. Hundreds of example parameter files included.

Fractalus program generates high resolution truecolor fractals. The aim of this program is to produce good quality and eye pleasing fractal images. Mathematical orthodoxy or even accuracy is not my main concern.

Mandelbrot and Julia fractal-types are supported with various drawing styles. Parameters can be saved and loaded. Palettes can be saved and loaded. Fractal zoom movies can be generated from image sequences. Images can be saved (max size 8192 x 8192).

Image formats compatible with Fractalus:
1. PNG - good quality and optimal but non lossy filesize - truecolor
2. JPG - medium quality with small filesizes (most common format in internet web pages) - truecolor. This format is used for video rendering to save disk space.
3. GIF - 256 color version of true color bitmap - small filesize
4. BMP - good quality but large filesize (Windows default imageformat) - truecolor
5. TIF - good quality but large filesize (used by many graphics programs) - truecolor
