The GPEG2 codec is a real-time MPEG-2 encoder that harnesses the computing power of graphic processors(GPU's) available today. It accelerates video and image encoding to encode at incredible frame rates.

GPEG2 video codec is a video compressor / decompressor that registers into Windows multimedia drivers and integrate whit any application using Directshow( Virtualdub, Adobe Premiere,....). Existing video players, such as Windows Media Player , Media Player Classic can use this codec to play MPEG-2 streams.
