For starting the indexing process please select "index - > manage index" . A menu will appear which informs you about the purpose of indexing. Click on continue and select the drives, folders and files or mail systems which you would like to index.

Please note that the first indexing of your complete data can take several hours. This is why Superior Search 5.0 HOME EDITION offers the possibility to choose certain folders to index in order to reduce the indexing process clearly. However, please consider that indexing is the basis for fast finding - so take your time for a deliberated indexing.

After selection of drives and files please click on "Next" and afterwards on "Run Index".
After indexing you can see in the file structure on the left side of the main window which files have been indexed.
If you like to change the index or extend it to other files and folders, select "Index -> Manage Index".
If you like to delete the index completely, please click on "Index -> Clear Index".
The once selected files are indexed consistently in the background, so that you always receive up-to-date results when searching.
