We suggest you run through this manual before attempting your first trials. This manual is relatively short and assumes you already have basic knowledge of using software with Windows or Mac OS X.
Hyphen Comics free version allows you to create an image or a full comic with some limits on file exportation (reduced functions are marked in blue). Purchasing the D cor module will give you access to new vector brushes as well as access to all export functions.

Creating A Scene
A cartoon or a manga-style drawing is always a progressive work. It is rare that an artist will draw a cartoon panel without prior sketches. Traditionally, these sketches start with stroke or box tracings in perspective. These tracings become more and more detailed to finally serve as a base for inking and colouring the drawing.

Background
After creating a page with one large panel you can switch to the panel and layer editor. The background contains a closed shape defining the ground and another for the sky. All montains have been creating with the D cor module.
