Java Desktop Engine
|
Java Desktop Engine is a useful tool that can accomplish several functions, like a shared virtual machine. The aim of this project is to produce software that is both:
1. A Java virtual machine shared
Permette di lanciare differenti programmi nella stessa VM. Allows us to run different programs in the same VM. La VM sar sempre attiva, quindi riduzione dei tempi di partenza dei programmi e minore consumo di RAM. The VM will always be active, thus reducing the startup time of programs and less use of RAM.
2. A local server Xml Rpc
his way you can access the services exposed by the engine for programs written in languages other than Java.
For those of us who use Java tools is frustrating having to open several VM greedy resource only useful but simple to launch programs. Moreover, the start time of each VM is time wasted. We all appreciated the difference when building inside an IDE. In this case (usually selectable option in the options of the IDE), javac is run as a process inside a VM already active, and the speed difference is obvious. JDE is born to at least try to alleviate this problema. Avere a VM always active within which you can launch processes (see program) means faster start minure processes and resource usage. It rsparmia long time, constantly not loading a new VM.
Launch
Just run run.sh. The executable "java" should be in the classpath.
1. GUIManager, will also launch the graphical management.
2. LNF <look'n feel> where <look'n feel> is the main class of the look'n feel, and assuming that the corresponding jar file is lib.
