Kermit

Compress audio file with just a few clicks. Kermit is a freeware Windows front-end for the OptimFROG lossless audio compressor. Files can be encoded and tagged (APE v2.0) in one run.
Installation:
1. Unzip into a directory of your choice (win2dos.exe is not needed when using Windows 2000 or XP).
2. Put the OptimFROG compressor (ofr.exe) in the same directory.
3. If you want to add APE v2.0 tags to the encoded files, Tag.exe and Tag.cfg need to be in the same directory as the frontend (or in the Path). Get Tag.exe here: www.saunalahti.fi/cse/
4. Run Kermit.exe.
Usage:
1. Drag and drop wave files from Windows Explorer into the Kermit file list or press the "Add files" button and put files on the list with the "Open" dialog.
2. Enter the OptimFROG options you want to use (use Help button for available options)
3. Optional: Select an output directory.
4. Hit "Go".
5. Note that all that Kermit does is create and launch a batch file (go.bat). This is done on the moment you press the "Go" button. So after that you can safely close Kermit.
Tag configuration:
Tags (APE v2.0) are derived from the filename of the encoded file. Auto detection of filename schemes will work fine in most cases. If it doesn't work for you, you can enter your own 'custom' filename scheme. Note that it should be the filename scheme of the encoded files! The scheme is constructed using the following parameters (these parameters can also be found in the tooltip of the textbox where they must be entered):
T = title
A = artist
L = album
Y = year
C = comment
N = track number
G = genre
X = disregard
