La frontend ease your work with La lossless audio compressor. A handy, easy to use GUI specially designed to help you work with the La console application. This is a lossless audio compressor that offers very high compression (but also is very CPU intensive).

La (short for 'Lossless Audio') is a freeware lossless audio compressor that offers very high compression (but also is very CPU intensive). La comes as a .NET Windows program (LaWin.exe) and as a console program (la.exe).

Usage:
1. Drag and drop WAV or LA files from Windows Explorer into the La_frontend file list or press the "Add files" button and put files on the list with the "Open" dialog.
2. Select the options you want to use.
3. Optional: Select an output directory.
4. Hit Encode or Decode.
5. Note that all that La_frontend does is create and launch a batch file (go.bat). This is done on the moment you press the "Go" button. So after that you can safely close La_frontend.

The decoding option "Remove tags from the decoded files" needs some explaining. The La command-line program (version 0.4b) will not skip tags when decoding. As a result the decoded (WAV) files will have tags. Some programs (other encoders, burning programs) cannot handle WAV files with tags. Therefore I have added this option. If it is selected Tag.exe will remove any tags from the decoded files.
