NMEATime
|
Keep your clock synchronized using this small tool. NMEATime will automatically set your PC clock using a GPS receiver connected to the serial port of a PC or to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) time servers over the Internet. Using network time or the time from a GPS receiver, NMEATime will keep your computer referenced to an atomic time standard.
Desktop Clock
By default, a desktop clock is enabled when NMEATime is run for the first time. This clock can be configured as a analog clock, digital clock or disabled. There are many options for each clock. Please see Analog Clock and Digital Clock for more information.
GPS Requirements
The GPS receiver must provide the following NMEA commands to set the PC clock successfully. GPGGA or GPRMC or GPZDA and GPGSA and GPGSV The combination of these sentences is required to determine the GPS integrity. Having a good GPS signal lock will help guarantee accurate time when NMEATime sets the PC clock.
