PocketPC Installer can compress all of your files into two types of self-extracting Installer files. All you have to so is simply drag and drop your PocketPC / Windows Mobile .cab file & data files into the PocketPC Installer, and the job is done.

The PocketPC Installer is an easy-to-use tool, which lets you package up your Pocket PC / Windows Mobile libraries and files into two different types of standalone, compressed installer .exe files.

One of the .exe files runs on your PDA.
It contains compressed copies of all of your files, plus the code to uncompress them and install them intelligently onto your device.

The other .exe is an installer .exe file which you can run on your Desktop. This also contains all of your files within, plus the code to copy the data to your device, and install them.

Two different ways to install your Pocket PC / Windows Mobile applications, just choose which of the two installer .exe's is more useful to you, and ignore the other !

(Obvious disclaimer: the actual size of your installer .exe files will depend on the size/compression of the files you add to them. This diagram simply shows one real-life scenario.)
As an example, you could take the Desktop installer .exe that is created, put this one file as a Download on your website, and that's the only file a user would need to download & run to install your suite of .cab files and other files onto their device.

12. You can now choose a file to be run/opened on the device, when the PDA installer has finished.
13. After the installer file on your PDA has finished installing your application, you might wish to start running it. Alternatively, you might have a welcome.html file that you wish to display at the end of installation.
14. Open a directory in Explorer after building the installer files.
15. The PocketPC Installer creates a few files for you. The last page of the wizard lets you click on a directory name to open that directory, making it easy to locate your installer files.
16. You can also choose to always open a directory in Explorer after the PocketPC Installer has finished building your installer files.
17. For example, you might want to always open the directory containing your PDA installer .exe file, whenever it has just been rebuilt.

Limitations:
* You are not authorised to distribute these installer files.
* You cannot quickly rebuild your installer files using the -rebuild command-line option
* All of your installers will show an "Evaluation Edition" message on them.
* Your installers will also display a "PocketPCtoolkit.com" / "PocketPC Installer" logo.
