Analog lighting system management made easy. Q Light Controller (QLC for short) is meant to control lighting equipment used in various performances, like live concerts and theatres etc. The main purpose is that QLC could outperform commercial lighting desks with an intuitive and flexible user interface, without the need for a 500+ page manual.

Most controls throughout the software have tooltips, which pop up after holding your mouse cursor over them for a while. The menubar on the top of the workspace window contains vital operations which we will discuss in another topic.

The fixture manager is the heart of QLC's fixture-oriented architecture. As its name already says, you can manage (add, remove and edit) your lighting fixtures from the fixture manager. On the left side of the manager there is a list that contains all of the fixtures in the current workspace (currently it's empty). On the right side you can see some common information related to the currently selected fixture.

Installation
Just run each of the packages you have downloaded, starting with the main application. The contents of the packages are installed to C:\QLC by default, but you can change the directory to anything you want. Just make sure all of the packages are installed under the same directory! You can also have multiple versions of QLC on the same machine as long as you keep each of them in their own separate directories.

Uninstallation
If you wish to uninstall QLC, you can just delete the installation directory and you're done.
