RCBlast is an easy to use yet powerful and intuitive blast analysis tool. Developed for inelastic analysis of structural members subjected to blast-induced shock waves, it can quickly generate SDOF time histories and PI diagrams for user defined blast threats.

1. Perform SDOF Analysis
RCBlast is designed to perform dynamic time-history analysis by direct numerical integration of the dynamic equation. The user has the ability to input custom load-deformation functions, or utilize those computed within the structural analysis module.

2. Generate PI Diagrams
A PI diagram is an iso-damage or iso-response contour plot consisting of a series of pressure-impulse combinations that generate the same level of structural response. By generating a PI diagram for a given structural element, and plotting specific pressure-impulse combinations corresponding to various anticipated explosive threats, the performance of a structure may be evaluated graphically. RCBlast has the capability to develop pressure-impulse diagrams based on the load-deformation characteristics of a given structure.

3. Generate Built-in Resistance Functions
RCBlast's structural analysis module has the capability to generate flexural load-deformation characteristics (also known as resistance curves, or resistance functions) for typical reinforced concrete structures. Currently, the structural analysis module incorporates the following features:
* Simply supported, partially fixed, and fully fixed boundary conditions;
* Uniformly distributed loads, mid-span point loads;
* Rectangular or circular cross-sections;
* Numerous material models and the ability to incorporate custom stress-strain curves;
* Effect of concrete confinement;
* Instability of compression reinforcement (bar buckling);
* Externally bonded fibre reinforced polymers (FRP);
* Post-peak unloading behaviour, and;
* Prediction of ultimate displacement based on the failure state of constituent materials.
