Free Download RIOsitude 3.12

Really Spiffy Software for the Diamond Rio300 and Rio500. RIOsitude is a simple program that allows you to interact with the Rio300 or Rio500. Think of it as a handy alternative to the RioPort software. RIOsitude supports windows 98/ME/2000. It supports sending and receiving files, and internal and external memory (via SmartMedia cards). RIOsitude works with both Rio300 and Rio500, with full SmartMedia support you can switch between Rio types easily.

Usage:
Basically, in the upper left there are meters that tell how much memory is on the Rio, how much is available and used, and also the size of the File Queue and the selected files within.

Located underneath that (still to the left of the divider) is the file Queue. Right-click on this to get a spiffy menu (you can also drag files from explorer into it). You can add Mp3s or M3us (winamp playlists). However, WMA files are not supported by this program at this time. This window is intended to allow you to set up a playlist and arrange files and stuff before you actually send the information to the Rio itself. (it's faster that way).

On the right half of the divide is a bit of text that displays the Rio firmware version (or "Not Connected" if you (obviously) have not connected to the Rio. Under that is a dropdown list that contains the names of the folders in the Rio. There are some buttons (whose functions should be fairly straightforward) and underneath that...Well, that's the list of songs on the Rio in the currently selected folder.

Things to note:
1. You can drag the files in the File queue across to the Rio list (standard drag & drop).
2. You can drag the files to change their order.
3. You can do the "slow doubleclick" thing on the names of the songs to rename them to something more to your liking.

Limitations:
The software currently does not (but hopefully will in the future) support a few things:
1. Animation - There are a few utils that allow animations to be sent to the Rio (Bootup animations).

Requirements:
* Rio300 or Rio500 Card
