Allows quick previewing ESRI Shape files (shp, dbf). SHP Viewer is a simple program for previewing the SHP files. Displays attribute information (DBF) if available. The program uses the Language ID byte from the DBF file (if one is included in the shape file set) to select the code page for attribute displaying.

If it is obvious that the Language ID does not match the content then the program tries to guess a codepage ID using a very simple algorithm. If after this you can't see a readable text then try changing the codepage using the "Charset" menu.

Shape files containing polygons, lines or points should be displayed correctly independant of the projection used. Let me know if something is not working.
