SharedView

Application sharing leads to restricted mouse movement if the host takes control back at the same time that a sharing user is dragging a shared application window. Microsoft SharedView is a fast, easy way to share documents and screen views with small groups of friends or coworkers; anytime, anywhere. Use SharedView to put your heads together and collaborate - create, convey, and communicate across physical boundaries, through firewalls, and down to the smallest details.
Some important tips on using SharedView:
1. To start a session using this program, you must sign in using a Windows Live ID (Passport ID). However, you can use any e-mail ID or even a friendly name to join a session. A friendly name is a name of your choice. This is the name that others in the session will use to identify you.
If you want to start a session and do not have a Windows Live ID, you can continue installing this program. However, before signing in, you must get a new Windows Live ID.
2. If you are already using this program, you will see an upgrade notification that redirects you to the installation site.
Microsoft SharedView integrated with Windows Live Messenger. Inside Messenger, you'll find a SharedView menu item on the Activities menu. Choosing this will send an IM Invite to join a SharedView session, and you'll be notified from the bar at the top of the screen when the person you invited accepts or declines the invite, or if they didn't reply after a couple of minutes. The person you invite receives a request to join your SharedView session, and if they accept they will quickly join into your session.
Audio support is not available at this time. To provide audio, you can use a telelphone call or an instant messaging program that supports Voice over IP (VoIP).
Here are 3 simple but powerful SharedView actions:
1. CONNECT - Connect with up to 15 people in different locations and invite them to share with you.
2. SHOW - Share, review, and update documents with multiple people in real-time.
3. SHARE - with up to 15 people in a session. Anyone can share, and the person sharing can give control to anyone else.
