Sonoris Multiband Compressor
|
Sonoris Multiband Compressor is a VST Host plug-ins, a versatile multiband compressor suitable for mastering or mixing. It is meant to be a compressor that can be very transparent but also have some "character".
It has three independent frequencybands followed by three compressors based on the Sonoris Compressor. The three bands are created with special designed filters to avoid phase cancellation problems. These filters are known as Linkwitz-Riley crossover filters and have a very natural, analog like quality. By design they mix back flat. Unlike linear phase filters they don't introduce delay and are more efficient in use.
Sonoris Multiband Compressor Features:
1. Phase correct Linkwitz-Riley crossover filters
2. Wide crossover ranges
3. Ratio ranging from 0.5:1 to infinity for compression, expansion and limiting
4. Attack ranging from 0 msec to 1 sec. Totally clickfree, even at low values
5. Selectable auto-attack on each band
6. Release ranging from 1 msec to 5 sec
7. Selectable auto-release on each band
8. Threshold ranging from -60 dBfs to 0 dBfs
9. Very flexible knee setting from hard to soft in 100 steps
10. A second knee that enables the compressor to adjust the ratio back to 1:1 above the threshold. Also adjustable in 100 steps from hard to soft knee
11. Two envelope types, RC and Opto
12. supports 4 modes:
13. Normal, sidechain signal is the sum of left and right
14. Highest, sidechain signal is the highest value of the left and right channel, for multiband limiting
15. Left channel only for use with the Sonoris MS Codec plugin
16. Right channel only, as above
17. Output section limiter with limiter-action dependant light
18. Mousewheel support, including global when holding the control key
19. The gain transfers are shown graphically in real-time
20. Three high resolution gain reduction meters
21. Make up gain ranging from – 25 dB to + 25 dB
22. Four level meters
23. Track following
24. Full automation possible
25. Controls can be adjusted simultaneous for all bands
26. Low CPU load
27. Settings can be saved
28. 64 bit integer math, except for the crossover filter code
29. TPDF dither is used to convert the 64 bit signal back to SAW format. The dither is generated in assembly language
