In this new version, TMPGEnc MPEG Editor 3 now supports WTV files generated by the Media Center function of Windows Vista or Windows 7.
2. MPEG-2 TS AAC 5.1 support
TMPGEnc MPEG Editor 3 supports AAC (Advanced Audio Coding) up to 5.1 channel input when provided in a MPEG-2 TS file.

TMPGEnc MPEG Editor 3's Source Wizard offers the possibility to directly import the content of a HDV device through an i.LINK (IEEE1394) connection. Imported sequences can be edited, transitions added and outputted as an MPEG file for HDV.
8. Video transition effects
TMPGEnc MPEG Editor 3 now offers the possibility to create a video transition effect between Clips.
9. MPEG file transcoding
Embedding the Intercom Transcoding Engine allows the possibility to adjust the size of the outputted MPEG-2 video file.
10. Working with DVD-VR files
One of the new features in TMPGEnc MPEG Editor 3 is the ability to output your work in the DVD-VR format, a format often used by standalone DVD recorders.
