Rename your audio files with this tool. Tag is a small console tool to write tags in various compressed audio files. It gets the tag information from filename so in best case you don't need to type anything. It features also a powerful file renamer, so you can rename those downloaded mp3s to the naming scheme you like. And it can generate m3u playlists from your songs. You can sort the list by track number, name or song length. Generated playlists also have AlbumList extensions and song durations.

Tag supports ID3v1.1, Lyrics3 v2.0, APE v1.0, APE v2.0 and Ogg Vorbis comments. ID3v2 tags can be read and removed. Tag is made by Case.

Tag frontend is a Windows frontend for Tag. Tag and Tag frontend are both freeware.

Installation:
1. Unzip into a new directory.
2. Make sure Tag.exe and Tag.cfg are in the path. If you don't want to change the path, or don't know how to do that, just put them in your Windows directory (probably something like C:\Windows).
