Visual IP Trace is a traceroute program, designed to investigate IP addresses or domain names. It displays the estimated location of the IP address, using a world map, and also provides basic traceroute details, as well as standard Whois information for the owner of the domain and network.
In addition, Visual IP Trace automatically checks for Internet applications like web or FTP servers running on the remote host. Visual IP Trace integrates with Internet Explorer for one-click traces from the toolbar, and also runs in the system tray. The trace information is displayed on a HTML page in your browser.
Features include: IP location analysis, domain registration reporting, network provider reporting, one-click traces from MS Internet Explorer, instant traces directly from the Windows task bar, analysis of Internet applications running at the target location, and automated abuse reporting.

Visual IP Trace Features:
Abuse Reporting - Create a report to send to the ISP behind the IP/domain. The ISP can then take steps to prosecute or reprimand the IP/domain owner.

Geo-location database - Provides a more up-to-date and accurate tracking database to better identify the sender's ISP city/country location.

World map - The geographical location of an IP address/domain/url is shown on a world map.

Identifies the network provider - The IP/domains network provider (or ISP) is identified, providing contact information for further investigation.
Internet Explorer One click tracing - Trace a web site in just one click in Internet Explorer by using the Visual IP Trace button.

HTML Report - Get a single page analysis of an IP/domain/URL trace with all the information you need to report abuse to the author's network provider.

Start bar trace - Incorporated into Visual IP Trace is a start bar add on. Simply type the IP/domain/url you want to trace and click the green arrow to start the trace.
Shows the routing path to the destination - The actual path to the destination of the IP address or domain and is reported in a routing table.
Analysis of applications running on the destination system - Get a report of the Internet applications on a destination site, including HTTP/HTTPS, the type of web server, FTP and SMTP.

Batch Tracing - This feature allows you to trace lots of IP's, domains or URL's in one go. Visual IP Trace will perform the traces in the background so you can get on with other things whilst it is doing them.

Tabs System - Trace mulitple IP addresses, domains or URL's at once using the tabs system. Each trace is opened in a new tab for easy analysis of many traces.
