Visual Protocol Simulator (VPS)
|
Visual Protocol Simulator (VPS) is Visual protocol Simulator software that allows software developers, programmers, test engineers, to simulate custom designed protocol packets to exchange data and commands with the target system.
VPS is a complete integrated development environment (IDE) equipped with tools to design a protocol that fits your needs such as packet design, project management, packet simulation, monitoring and data logging.
VPS packets bytes can be associated with window controls such as edit box, spin box, comb box, radio and check buttons giving the data a visualized form for easy read and manipulation. Radio and Check buttons are designed to handle bitmap manipulation.
VPS adopts a unidirectional communication method with Master-Slave dynamic suited for the serial port physical component.
VPS software output the packets data on RS232 serial communication bus. The serial signals can be converted into the target system physical interface such as SPI, RS485 and UART.
VPS packet structure consists of a header, data payload and footer.
VPS packets can be enhanced with optional standard cyclic redundancy check (CRC) functions such as CRC16, CITT Xmodem and Modulo 255. Other CRCs can be added upon request.
VPS packets can be enhanced with an option to auto calculate the packet data payload length and added to the referenced byte.
VPS simple and easy to use, no programming experience is required. You can design your own packet, run and save it within few minutes. VPS includes predefined packets to help you get started. In addition, VPS help menu have well documented tutorials and examples.
VPS software runs on windows operating system such as: XP, Vista and window 7.
