Diet analysis tools for nutritionists and dietitians. WinDiets is a suite of analysis tools designed to suit the needs of nutrition and dietary professionals. Help for functions available in all versions are presented with a white background. Those for Professional and Research versions in light green and for the Research versions only, light blue background is used.

WinDiets is a series of nutritional analysis programs written by Dr A Wise . There are 5 versions available. They contain the complete UK and USA food tables, provide up to 7-day analysis of diets, have several screens suitable for education of different ages of student.

A few functions are available without opening a workspace, but most require that you open one first. You may create a new one at the first time you use WinDiets and continue using that single workspace, adding to its data as you go along. You may however decide that you want to have a different workspace for each diet.

Users of the Standard version can only work on one diet at a time, but other users can have unlimited number of diets in the workspace. You may however decide to have workspaces for different types of clients since it may become excessively complicated if you have too many diets in a workspace.

You can save diets as single small files so another strategy may be to use the workspace to process files one at a time. However, users of the Research version are only able to create databases for analysis when the diets are present in the same workspace.
