Windows Live Photo Gallery application was designed to help you organize your photos and videos, edit them or apply special effects, or share them with family and friends. Windows Live Photo Gallery Beta helps you relive all your digital memories.

Windows Live Photo Gallery is a photo management and sharing application released as a part of Microsoft's Windows Live initiative. It is an upgraded version of Windows Photo Gallery, which is a part of Windows Vista and Windows 7.

Key Features:
1. Photo Gallery will import photos straight off your digital camera, with no need to install your camera's software.
2. With two clicks you can publish a photo or entire album to Windows Live Spaces. Don't have a space set up yet? Photo Gallery will create one for you automatically.
3. Photo Gallery automatically finds and organizes photos and videos on your PC, without moving or changing them. Sorting by date helps automatically group photos by event.
4. It's easy to create and apply custom tags, for even more flexibility in grouping your photos. Applying multiple tags to a photo gives you multiple ways to find it later.
5. Photo Gallery includes red-eye fix, cropping, levels, and color controls. Or click "Auto adjust" for a one-click way to make your photos look their best.
6. Photo Gallery works with Spaces to create cool-looking slideshows. View all your photos or pick and choose using tags you add. If you're running Windows Vista, you can even make your Photo Gallery slideshow work as your screen saver.

The Microsoft Image Composite Editor (ICE) is a tool created by Microsoft Research which can be used to create panoramic images. It's essentially the same technology that Windows Live Photo Gallery uses "under the hood" when you create panoramic photos in the software. But unlike the panoramic technology that runs in Windows Live Photo Gallery, the ICE software provides a few extra features, too. The most important one is the orientation tool. With this, you can change the orientation of a photo to give the impression that a tilt/shift lens was used. For example:

Panoramic Stitching
The concept is that you take a bunch of pictures, all next to each other in the same location, and WL Photo Gallery will stitch them together.

Photo Importing
This feature really took me by surprise when I was fooling around with Photo Gallery. I decided that I needed to import the photos from my camera to try out Panoramic Stitching and I also had some other photos on there from the last few weeks.

Windows Live Spaces Publishing
If you are a user of Windows Live Spaces, Microsoft is making it really easy for you to publish photos to your space. It literally only takes four clicks to publish a photo. It really could not be any easier. One gripe that I do have about this feature,
