klystrack
|
klystrack is a tracker for making C64/NES/Amiga style music. klystrack uses klystron. It is comparable to AHX on the Amiga.
The synth and player routines are designed for creating 8-bit style music and sound effects to be used in games using the klystron (SDL) game engine.
Alternatively, the routines can be easily separated from the engine and used with any sound library that gives direct access to the output wave buffer. This makes klystrack (and the audio side of klystron) a useful sound tool for retro-styled games.
klystrack Features:
1. Simple editor familiar to anyone who has ever used a tracker with features from more refined sequencers
2. Chiptune synthesis, no samples used
3. Instrument programs suitable for arpeggio or more complex patches
4. Envelope, ring modulation, filter and more for each channel
5. Stereo output
6. Reverb for SNES cheese
7. Protracker module import (no samples)
