shell-tail is a command line utility to monitor a log file. Its main purpose is to monitor log files, in a similar way to the Unix tail -f command.
Why another tail clone? Just because all similar programs I found for Windows were bloated with a GUI, were not free, required installing additional packages or didnt work as expected (locked the file so that it couldnt be deleted).
shell-tail Features:
1. no GUI
2. no external dependencies apart from .NET runtime
3. optional word highlighting (regexp)
4. monitored file can be deleted and monitoring continues when file is recreated
5. file doesnt need to exist when monitoring starts
