Dynamic System Simulation of Cooling and Heat Supply for Industrial Processes
simCHIP uses TRNSYS (Version 16) as simulation engine (sel.me.wisc.edu/trnsys/). A free copy of the TRNSYS simulation engine is distributed with simCHIP by courtesy of the TRNSYS consortium, but remains property of the owners of TRNSYS and is not included in the simCHIP GPLv3 - license. The distribution of a modified version of simCHIP as foreseen in GPL v3 is authorized only without distribution of the TRNSYS simulation engine (folder "trnsys"), unless You obtain your own agreement with the TRNSYS consortium.
simCHIP has been developed by energyXperts.NET (Spain, Germany), with contributions from the partners of the MEDISCO Consortium: Politecnico de Milano (Italy), Fraunhofer Institut for Solar Energy Systems (Germany), Centre de M todes Numerics en l'Enginyer a (Spain). The TRNSYS module for parabolic trough solar collectors has been written by Fraunhofer ISE based on Type 396 from the TRNSYS - STEC Library Version 3.0 (sel.me.wisc.edu/trnsys/trnlib/stec/stec.htm) developed by Deutsches Zentrum f r Luft- und Raumfahrt - DLR (Germany).
