sqlFree is a 100% Java Visual SQL query builder. The SQL Builder part is a component taking a model-description of tables and attributes. It is completely separated from any needs to work on ResultSets or DB-specifics. Over an interface theres also the possibility to integrate the builder into any application.

Sending SQL statements to the database
1. Send your specified queries directly to the database and view the results.
2. Use any JDBC-driver you like for database communication.
3. The RMI-server of sqlFree gives you the opportunity to run it anywhere. So you just have to install a database-driver once. Connecting to this RMI-server you may access the database from any PC a Java virtual machine is available on - sqlFree will run as applet in your browser.
4. Characterencoding can differ between database and application. Specify it.

Viewing returned results
1. Results may directly be viewed
2. Lazy read: You can configure how many results shall be read in a block. Interesting for very big resultssets.
3. Binary data fields are offered to be saved to disk
