Manage your images with this software. JPhotar or Java PHOto ARchiver is a simple Java based application designed to help you archive and sort your photos, dont be anoyed with those crepy imagenames.
Provides fully drag / drop function, just Drag&Drop your photos in or out of your image folders.

What do you need to handle your photos?
1. Deal with photos as 'photos'. The filosofy is: One should not need to know the filename of the photo.
2. One should be able to use an ordinary http browser to look into the archives (without the need of server aps, a web-server/filesystem should be sufficient). Therefor, the filesystem will be used for (hierachical) storage.
3. Any generated information should be stored in text format.
4. Fast enough to handle large photos (3MPixel+)
5. A nice and quick 'fullscreen' viewer.
6. A quick and easy way to publish your photos on the web.
7. Should run on Windows & Linux.

JPhotar Functionality
1. A single/dual window imagebrowser.
2. Drag&Drop for changing the order of presentation.
3. Drag&Drop for copy/move photo(s) to the other browser window.
4. Drag&Drop for copying photo(s) from/to a native utility.
5. Generate html pages that contain thumbnails, preview pages and/or links to original.
6. The generated html uses a Cascading Style Sheet for your layout.
7. If desired, generate cached thumbnails.
8. Cached thumbnails speed up dealing with large photos.
9. Cached thumbnails save storage as they can be combined with (auto-generated static) html pages to view a set of photos by using a http-browser.
10. The order of a set of photos, descriptions & photo properties are stored in one (text)file.

13. Im/export of .ion files. (Use your descriptions that you already typed in).
