L517 is a simple wordlist generator for windows. Wordlists are useful for many purposes. One common purpose is the brute-force password attack. There are many password lists available on the internet; some are useful, but some are seemingly useless. To combine all of the common, huge wordlists into one list would be a waste of time because of duplicate and invalid entries.
With this tool you can load any number of lists / files / text / websites, parse out data you dont want, remove duplicates, and save to a brand new list.

Collecting:
1. Gathers words from many different file-types
2. Can handle both unix and windows text file types,
3. Collect from every file in a directory (and subdirectories),
4. Collect words from a website (strips HTML code), good for personalized wordlists (myspace, facebook, etc),
5. Collect from dragged-and-dropped selected text or files,
6. Collect words from pasted text (Ctrl+V).

Generating:
1. Generate any string of any length (an exhaustive 26-pattern character set is included)
2. Generate dates in different formats over any time period
3. Generate phone numbers based on location (United States only). Input a city and the L517 will look-up all area-codes and prefixes of that city, then generate every possible phone-number based on those prefixes.
4. "Analyze" is a new option in v0.2; when "analyzing," L517 discovers and extracts patterns in the list by looking at both prefixes (beginning) and postfixes (end) of items. The analysis results in two lists of commonly used prefixes and postfixes.

Filtering:
1. Filter by length (minimum/maximum).
2. Convert list to lowercase, UPPERCASE.
3. Copy words to new formats: First Letter Upper and/or eVeRy OtHeR lEtTeR.
4. 13375P34K (leetspeak) case mutator.
5. Strip out certain text from items that already exist, and also as they are added.
6. Convert special characters to the hex equivalent. i.e. convert !@#$%^& to %20%40%21%22%23.
7. Include foreign characters. this gathers words that are beyond the scope of the alphabet and 0-9 number syetem.

Add mutations to items already on the list -- append right-side and/or prepend left-side. These are useful when generating a password list:
1.Add each number 0-9 to every item on the list,
2.Add every letter (a-z) to each item on the list,
3.Add every word from L517's default prefix/postfix wordlist to every item in the list,
4.Add every word from your own wordlist to every item in the current list.

List options
1. Sort alphabetically (automatic).
2. Remove duplicate entries, (slow, but accurate and stable).
3. Find item in list, Find Next.
4. Remove, Remove by string, and Clear.
5. Save list to files in sections (split by number of items in each file).
6. Save in Windows/DOS text format, or *nix format.

L517 requires MSVBVM60.DLL and MSCOMCTL.OCX in order to run. These files are required so that the program will run properly. To install MSCOMCTL.OCX onto your computer, right-click the L517.exe and select 'Run as Administrator'. This will extract and register the runtime file onto your system.
