The Z-FTPcopy module adds FTP transfer features to Z-Cron or Z-DBackup to copy an archive or a backup file to any server that is capable of handling FTP (RFC 959 specification). The only requirement is an FTP/FTPS/SFTP server with enough free disc space (doesnt have to be a Windows host). You have to enter the following information: IP address of the FTP/FTPS/SFTP server, a valid user account/password and the internal path where the data should be stored. The module Z-FTPcopyII allows the storage of data in a heterogeneous environment outside of the original backup network.

This program allows for a scheduled FTP transfer with the Windows-integrated task planner or Z-Cron. Z-FTPcopyII was conceived as an add-on for Z-DATdump, but can also be used as a standalone program for quick and easy transfer of files to an FTP server.

Z-FTPcopyII is a command-line tool, i.e. it is controlled via command line parameters.
With command line parameters, it is possible to pass default values to the program at startup or enable an FTP transfer from a batch file. The parameters to start with have to be listed after the program name, separated by spaces.

For a call from the command line, at least the following parameters must be specified:
zftpcopy.exe command SOURCE TARGET server username password

The parameters put, puts, get, gets or view can be used as commands. If the filenames or directory names of the SOURCE or TARGET contain spaces, these parameters have to be enclosed in quotation marks!

Return value:
A return value equal to 0 tells the calling program that the transfer was successful. A return value larger than 0 signals an error.
