MB DNA Analysis is a FREE program for DNA analysis. MB stands for MolecularBiological DNA Analysis. MB is a free Windows DNA analysis program. On other systems (Linux, Macintosh) it is possible to emulate the program.

MB is a relative small and easy to use program. It includes the most common features for the analysis of DNA and protein sequences. These are: restriction sites search, restriction mapping, amino protein analysis, multiple sequence alignment, dot plot, molecular weight calculation and ORF search. Another advantage of the program is that it does not require Internet in order to use it.

12. molecular weight calculation for single-stranded and double-stranded DNA
13. dot plot (for DNA and amino acid sequences)

All results can be saved in different ways or printed. The package includes 690 restriction sites (including isoschyzomers) and some test DNA sequences. You can easily add new restriction sites, DNA and amino acid sequences to the database. It is also possible to import DNA files from Internet (MB supports GenBank and FASTA formats). Updates for the program can be easily obtained via the automatic update feature.
