Orbiting and Colliding Galaxies 3D Model is a three-dimensional extension of the supercomputer model of colliding galaxies. The Orbiting and Colliding Galaxies 3-D Model is an extension of the Orbiting and Colliding Galaxies 2-D Model into three dimensions. Like that model, this is also an extension of the model by Kyung Taek Lim and Wolfgang Christian. This model assumes that galactic centers are point masses and the stars do not interact with each other, just the galactic cores interact with each other and the individual stars. The stars start in a 3-D circular orbit about the center of each galaxy in one plane. When the two galaxies pass each other they produce the long spiraling tails.
