Vector NTI Viewer
|
Analyze biological molecules fast and easy. Vector NTI Viewer can read Vector NTI Molecule Documents, and molecule data from GenBank, EMBL or FASTA files. You may also paste molecule descriptions in one of the above formats from the Clipboard. In addition, the Viewer can read plain nucleotide sequence data form ASCII file or the Clipboard, automatically creating a virtual annotated molecule for that nucleotide sequence.
Upon being opened by the Viewer, a molecule is loaded in a Molecule Display window. This window consists of text, graphics and nucleotide sequence panes and contains a text description, circular or linear molecule map, and the molecule's formatted nucleotide sequence respectively. Vector NTI Viewer uses the original advanced layout algorithms to automatically place graphics objects optimally. However, if a molecule is opened from a Vector NTI Molecule Document, Vector NTI Viewer does not attempt to generate a new graphics representation of the molecule automatically; the original picture saved in the Molecule Document is displayed exactly as it was formatted in the Vector NTI package's Molecule Picture Editor, including all formatting details and annotations. This way you can view graphics rich documents, created by the full-version of Vector NTI.
